Travel Award
AMSEC manages and distributes funds from the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Student Professional Development Fund. This endowment, bestowed upon WWU in 2014 by Roy Potter, provides money each year to support travel for students at the University engaged in interdisciplinary studies within the College of Science and Engineering.
Calls for applications go out quarterly to AMSEC faculty and are distributed to students. Awards are made once per Fall, Winter, and Spring quarter and applications must arrive and be decided upon prior to travel occurring.
Please reach out to AMSEC@wwu.edu if there are any questions.
Research opportunities
AMSEC supports research from all across campus with over a dozen instruments and averaging over 12,000 hours of yearly equipment use. There are many ways in which to get involved with research on campus, whether that is for credit towards a degree, or even as a volunteer. If you are interested in research on campus as a student, please feel free to reach out directly at AMSEC@wwu.edu.
Instrument Data
Looking for the online instrument data backup repository? Navigate to Sharepoint. You must have a valid WWU login to access data. Data is automatically backed up every 30 minutes for instruments with a computer that is connected to the internet.
