Research Facility

AMSEC operates around 2000 square feet of lab space for research and teaching purposes. Courses can request demonstrations of any equipment AMSEC owns as well as the analysis of samples for courses. Method development for classes can be accomplished any time of year in order to prepare new labs or update existing ones.

Researchers on campus can use the facilities free of charge with the exception of covering the costs for certain consumables. Students working for pay or credit for a WWU faculty can be trained by AMSEC staff on how to setup, operate, and collect data on our instrumentation. Students will eventually be able to independently operate AMSEC equipment and become self-sufficient with data handling and analysis.
