TA Instruments Q20

High Pressure-Differential Scanning Calorimeter (HP-DSC)

The TA Instruments Q20 DSC with high pressure accessory is capable of temperature ranges from ambient to 725°C under pressure up to 1000 psi in nitrogen or air. Differential scanning calorimetry is useful for determining glass transition temperatures, meting points, crystallization points, and heat of formation for specific materials. It is often used in materials characterization such as polymers or composites to determine what types of temperatures and stresses a material can handle. This is often used in conjunction with the AMSEC thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA).
